
Rab belongs to the group of Kvarner Islands of the North adriatic. Its winters are pleasant and mild, and the summers are warm with about 2500 hours od sunshine a year. The mean air temperature is 26oC in summer and 10oC in winter. The Kamenjak range ( 480m ) protects the greater part of the island from cold north-eastern winds, and the temperature hardly ever drops below zero ( centigrade ). TOWN RAB is situated at the southeastern end of the island. Its skyline is enhanced by the four slender campanili rising along the old town walls. The townwith its typical, twisting and narrow Mediterranean streets preserves many monuments of art: medieval churches, the Loggia, patrician palaces with beautiful doorways, etc. The curch of St. Justina includes a museum with a collection of religious art. There are a lot of restaurants that offer national and local specialities throughout the island and town Rab.
